BRÜCKEREI

BRÜCKEREI #2

This informal sharing invites the general public to witness sketches of the creative research carried out during an intensive artistic exchange between the choreographers Paul Behren, Fran Diaz and Morgane Stephan and a large group of movers of all kinds, including professional and non-professional dancers. Over the course of two weeks, the various participants of BRÜCKEREI #2 worked together under the mentorship of the renowned British performer, choreographer and author Jonathan Burrows to experiment with different ways of communicating choreographic ideas, expand their movement language and challenge their creativity.

The Sharing will be followed by an audience discussion.

BRÜCKEREI

BRÜCKEREI is a biennial mentored choreographic development platform initiated in 2022 by TANZBACKSTUBE under the artistic direction of Romain Guion and Caroline Finn. As the title suggests, BRÜCKEREI seeks to build bridges (artistic, human, institutional, educational, geographic). Its mission is to question and advance how choreographic work is conceived in a broad socio-cultural context. To that end, BRÜCKEREI promotes a process-oriented mindset and fosters an inviting working culture whereby inspiration is stimulated, failure is embraced and experimentation is encouraged.
