Sensory Stimuli and Content Notes
The ZAK – Zürich Access Kultur workshop is led by Noa Winter

How do you tell your audience about possible barriers such as light effects, sounds or distressing content? That is what the workshop with Noa Winter from ZAK – Zürich Access Kultur is about.

Communicating openly about possible barriers is a key part of accessibility in the cultural sector. The workshop looks at how artists and event organisers can gather this information and make it accessible.

What is the difference between sensory stimuli, such as light effects or sounds, and content notes, which flag content such as violence or discrimination? How do you describe both so that visitors can actually use the information? How do you deal with the worry about giving too much away? What processes are needed so that staff on site are well prepared and can answer questions? And which formats work best for sharing accessibility information?
