Das Schwingfest

Das Schwingfest
An event by Kwangsuk “Issue” Park

What happens when Schwingen, animal masks, children’s songs, and breaking come together on stage?

Das Schwingfest is a new show for children ages 6 and up and their families, developed by eight2one at Tanzhaus Zürich. Inspired by the children’s song “Mini Farb und Dini,” two performers transform into playful animal characters. They wrestle, compete, collaborate, and gradually reinvent the rules of the game.

This preview combines breaking, Swiss wrestling, and humor, offering a first glimpse into a new family production. It invites children and adults alike to imagine how movement, play, and changing rules can create new forms of togetherness.
