Felt Relations explores the complex web of relationships between nature and humans.

Shaped by the research period in the mountains and the process of working with wool, the piece invites us to perceive infinity, rawness and tenderness. Felting, an ancient, repetitive gesture that transcends cultures, is explored choreographically as an elemental metaphor, becoming visually, physically and sensorially tangible and experiential.
The compression of wool becomes a condensation of history, place, knowledge, labour, human and animal life, creating an atmosphere of interweaving. On stage, a field of resonance emerges between body and wool: two relational, soft yet resilient tissues that breathe as they navigate inner and outer space.

Felt Relations is presented as part of the TPO Tour 2026 by TanzPlan Ost, which has been supporting contemporary dance in Eastern Switzerland for 16 years. On the same evening we are also showing Collective Rhythms of Pain — one ticket admits you to both performances.

TanzPlan Ost has been supporting local contemporary dance and cross-regional exchange for 16 years. The new TPO format has three parts: the TPO ChoreoLab, a week of workshops, exchange and further training for dancers from Eastern Switzerland; the following one-year TPO Associated Artist programme; and the concluding TPO Tour.
