TanzPlan Ost: Felt Relations
TanzPlan Ost: Felt Relations
An event by Simea Cavelti
FELT RELATIONS explores the complex web of relations between nature and humans: taking the sheep as its starting point, the piece traces an arc between the Levant and Switzerland.
Inspired by the research process in the mountains and by the process of working wool, the piece invites us to perceive infinity, rawness and tenderness. Felting — an ancient, repetitive, cross-cultural gesture — is examined choreographically as a primal metaphor, becoming visually, physically and sensually tangible and experienceable. On stage, a field of resonance emerges between the wool and the human body: two relation-based, soft and resilient fabrics, breathing as they navigate inner and outer space.
FELT RELATIONS is presented as part of the TPO Tour 2026 by TanzPlan Ost, which has been supporting contemporary dance in Eastern Switzerland for 16 years. On the same evening we are also showing Collective Rhythms of Pain — one ticket admits you to both performances.
