Tadzio Müller, Soya the Cow

MovingTowardsZero #5: Between peaceful sabotage and collapse – radical bodies, radical change

In the fourth part of our MovingTowardsZero discourse series, two extraordinary voices of social change come together: Tadzio Müller, a political scientist with a PhD and climate activist from the very beginning, who has been fighting for climate justice for more than 20 years, and Soya the Cow, a sex-positive, feminist, vegan drag cow who challenges gender norms and consumer habits in equal measure.

Müller, co-organiser of protests at climate summits and co-founder of Ende Gelände, brings with him decades of experience in civil disobedience – from blocking Castor transports to occupying open-cast mines. In his latest book, Zwischen friedlicher Sabotage und Kollaps. Wie ich lernte, die Zukunft wieder zu lieben, he reflects on the limits and possibilities of radical climate policy.

Soya the Cow embodies a different form of resistance: through performance, drag and the radical redefinition of bodies and identities, social change is made visible and tangible.

What role does the body play as a site of protest?
How can performative and activist practices work together?
What happens when traditional patterns of movement – both political and physical – are broken?

The conversation between these two protagonists of social change promises surprising perspectives on the intertwining of climate justice, body politics and transformative art.

The bookstore1002F will present a fine selection of books on site.
