Festival and Discourse Series for Sustainability, Community, and Artistic Transformation
To mark its 30th anniversary, Tanzhaus Zürich invites you to a visionary festival in 2026: MovingTowardsZero (June 26-28, 2026) combines art, activism and communal experience to create a utopian space of transformation. Performances, workshops, rituals and a dance demo in public space will combine artistic practice, ecological responsibility and social justice to create a sustainable blueprint for the future.
The MovingTowardsZero #8 to #1 discourse series of the same name will open the space for thought and encounters from September 2025. In monthly inputs with international experts on topics such as ecological body practice, decolonial ecology, intersectionality or ethical touch, we build bridges between theory and practice. The inputs are open to the public and are aimed at anyone who is interested in future issues, sustainability and new forms of coexistence – whether with or without previous knowledge, whether from art, education, activism or the wider urban society. Each session will also be made available online on our website after the event. The 1002F bookshop will be on site with a book table to broaden your horizons.
Both the festival and the discourse series are an invitation to explore together how we want to live, work - and dance - in the future.
Let’s move towards zero — together.
