At Tanzhaus Zürich we respect the existing physical, mental, and psychological resources and act as sustainably as possible.
We stand for equal professional opportunities and cultural participation for everyone, regardless of their background or way of life. We recognize the underrepresentation of BIPoC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with migration experience, and people with disabilities in the cultural sector as a structural problem, and we are actively working to change this. As part of that commitment, we regularly reflect on and adapt our work and production processes.
We are dedicated to protecting the mental and physical well-being of everyone connected to our organization – whether as staff, guests, or audience members. Harassment, discrimination, abuse, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Non-consensual touching is not allowed in any professional context, including training or rehearsals.
Concrete Action in Case of Harassment
Anyone who is subjected to harassment, assault, discrimination, abuse of function, or other inappropriate behaviour at Tanzhaus Zürich or in our café/bar NUDE is encouraged to report the incident to care@tanzhaus-zuerich.ch.
Inés Maloigne, Head of Communication, will review the complaint and, if necessary, contact the person who lodged it for further information. She will also clarify whether external experts need to be consulted. The right to civil and criminal prosecution remains reserved.
The persons who reach out to Tanzhaus Zürich and the affected individuals are protected. Information is handled with absolute confidentiality. However, we cannot consider anonymous reports. Tanzhaus Zürich ensures that people who report an incident are not disadvantaged and that the accused are not unnecessarily harmed. People who maliciously accuse others or damage the reputation of others will be subject to appropriate measures.
Concrete Action in Case of a Complaint
Initially, the individuals concerned are encouraged to have a personal conversation. [SF1] Tanzhaus Zürich can provide pointers as to where and in which setting this is best conducted. If a neutral third party becomes necessary in the process, someone will be provided. If no solution can be found at either stage of the process, the Tanzhaus Zürich management is called upon to resolve the conflict.
