Professional Training Ballet

Lissetth Aguilar Stöckli holds a BFA in Dance. She was a member of the Guatemalan National Ballet, the Contemporary Dance Company of Jalapa Veracruz, and Peridance Company, among others. Benjamin Harkarvy — co-founder of Nederlands Dans Theater and later director of the Dance Department at The Juilliard School — was her teacher and mentor. She has worked as a Ballet Master for institutions such as Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Oslo Opera, Semperoper Dresden, Arena di Verona (Beriozoff), Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and the Ballettschule für das Opernhaus Zürich. She is a former director of the Guatemalan National Ballet and the founder of EDLAS Ballet School in Guatemala. She is also a guest teacher at Peridance Center and the National Ballet Company of Mexico.
