Party: KUNT

THE LEGEND IS BACK. THE VOID IS OVER.

To mark its 30th anniversary, Tanzhaus Zürich is hosting the MovingTowardsZero festival (26–28 June 2026): a utopian space where art, activism and community come together. KUNT is part of MovingTowardsZero.

After ten years in the shadows, the pioneer of Zurich’s fluid underground returns to reclaim the night. Marc Streit and Lukas Beyeler are bringing KUNT back! And they didn’t come to play; they came to transcend.

Forget the binary. Forget the rules. We are occupying the liminal spaces, that sweet, electric spot between who you are and who you dare to be. This is a homecoming for the rebels, the dreamers, and the beautifully bizarre.

Our planet and our bodies are being burned by the same systems.

To take up space is liberating and a friendly protest!

Prepare for a sensory riot: exaggeration, a manifesto of excess, a high-glam meltdown, and losing your mind!

Marc Streit

Marc Streit has been a driving force in the global cultural scene for nearly two decades. Co-founder of the KUNT Party and founder and artistic director of zürich moves! — which he shaped for twelve years — he has defined the contemporary performance and dance landscape far beyond the borders of Switzerland. A relentless host, connector, and bridge-builder, he is an indispensable part of cultural life well beyond his home country. People are his main driver. Human connection is the essence of everything he does. A true mover and shaker, Marc moves through cultural landscapes with the same restless energy that makes every space he inhabits come alive.

Lukas Beyeler

Lukas Beyeler is a Zurich-based photo and video artist and co-founder of KUNT, the city's celebrated queer art and party platform. Bold, provocative, and vividly staged, his work moves fluidly between fine art, fashion, and subculture.

Beyeler studied Visual Arts at the École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne (ECAL) and has since built an internationally recognized practice rooted in portrait, image-making, and visual storytelling. His awards include the Prix de la Fondation Ernest Manganel, the Prix du Jury at Accrochage Vaud (Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts, Lausanne) — accompanied by a solo exhibition and publication at the MCBA — and the City of Zurich Art Grant (Kunststipendien der Stadt Zürich), with work presented at the Helmhaus Zürich.

His practice spans fashion, visual arts, nightlife, film, and photography, with work shown at institutions including the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts Lausanne and the Essl Collection in Vienna, and films screened at major festivals across New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin. Collaborators include photographer Walter Pfeiffer, filmmaker Bruce LaBruce, and fashion designer Bernhard Willhelm.
