Dancing Through Extinction

To mark its 30th anniversary, Tanzhaus Zürich is hosting the MovingTowardsZero festival (June 26–28, 2026): a utopian space where art, activism and community come together. Dancing Through Extinction is part of MovingTowardsZero.

Performed by musician A Lake by the Mõõn this session opens a space to feel the cosmic weight of the biodiversity crisis, not as abstraction, but as something irreversible, passing through every cell.

A 50-minute ritual of listening and movement, guided by the sounds of Life in Warp – field recordings of species on their path toward extinction. Together, we let these sounds travel through our bodies: grief, sorrow, anger, melancholy, emptiness. We do not look away. We dance it all, until the end.

Expect many feelings. Expect a journey.
