Rhythm of Reverence

Rhythm of Reverence
An event by Below the Skin / Aly Khamees

Rhythm of Reverence is a full-length dance piece by Below the Skin. It brings together 12 performers from different generations, cultures, and life experiences.

The work is based on ongoing research that began in 2024 and explores rhythm as a force that pulses through the body, memory, and relationships. Through repetition, breath, and collective movement, a shared language emerges – one that is both intimate and far-reaching. Bodies gather, listen, and respond to one another. This creates a space where individuality meets the collective. The performance invites you into an immersive landscape of presence and resonance. Within it, dance becomes a contemporary ritual of connection, attention, and transformation.
