Professional Training Contemporary
The training is led by Céline HyunJin Barreau

Céline HyunJin Barreau teaches Gaga classes. Gaga deepens dancers’ awareness of physical sensation and expands the range of available movement options.

Gaga improves dancers’ ability to modulate their energy and access explosive power, enriching their movement quality with a wide range of textures. The class is based on the same principles as the Gaga/People courses, but also draws on the specific vocabulary and skills that belong to a dancer’s knowledge. Layering familiar skills with Gaga tasks presents dancers with new challenges. Throughout the class, Céline HyunJin Barreau invites dancers to seek out more unfamiliar places and ways of moving, opening up an endless range of possibilities. Dancers are guided to connect effort with pleasure and to discover the virtue of silliness.
