Cesy Leonard / Radikale Töchter

Guest 25/26

Cesy Leonard is a performance artist and founder of Radikale Töchter (Radical Daughters). Until 2019, she was part of the artistic team at the Centre for Political Beauty, developing political multimedia interventions that attracted international attention. Her focus is on political empowerment through art. With Radikale Töchter, she creates spaces in which political action is reimagined. At the intersection of art, design, politics and education, she provides creative impetus for social change. Her approach combines aesthetic strategies with activist methods to encourage people to become politically active themselves. Cesy Leonard is a work-in-progress feminist, mother of three and lives in Berlin. Her work stands for radical creativity and the power of art to initiate social change.

Radical Daughters
Since 2019, Radical Daughters have been inspiring effective, extraordinary forms of political participation in their workshops. Their training plan, which combines action, art and politics, is designed to spark the flame – to show how easy it can be to take action. For a critical mass of young people who are once again burning with passion: for democracy. For human rights. For social justice.
