Body in Infinite Motion approaches original dance practices from Southwest Asia and North Africa from the of contemporary dance, exploring new forms of hybrid movement languages. This research into diverse movement cultures is inspired by elements of ancient dances—such as ritual practices, circular, spiral, and wave-like forms, as well as repetitive sequences rooted in trance and healing dances. The classes follow a clear structure of exercises based on posture, floor work, and a repertoire of steps from original dance forms, which enter into dialogue with one another and are translated into a contemporary movement language.
