In Where the Boys Are (working title), Yotam Peled explores the similarities and connections between fighting and dance practices together with two professional male fighters. He does this by transforming the arena into a zone of performance which is sensitive and intimate. During their residency at Tanzhaus Zürich, they team is composing and sharing a ritual of surrendering.: Two opposing forces meet for a showdown, with each wishing to conquer the other. Through continuous collision, their bodies eventually give in and collapse, giving space to vulnerability, new ways of touching and codependency: holding can be done with care, a flip or a throw can become a game between two animals.
