During his two-week residency at Tanzhaus Zürich, Lukas Malkowski will be working on their piece Microphone Controller – simultaneously a dance solo and sensory concert. The performer uses a Vocal Effect box to add low vibrational frequencies to their voice. Songs, speeches, moans, thrashes, come together to create a sonic, tactile, visual concert experience. A celebration of Voice. Seen Voice. Heard Voice. Felt Voice. Homaging the likes of Prince, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie. Synthesizing the iconic idiosyncrasies of stadium-level performers.
