Sacré Saoulé

Sacré Saoulé explores anger—anger in the face of injustice and loss. The title plays on "sucré salé" (sweet and salty), evoking the dual nature of grief. The research develops a physical language that moves between the force of anger and the tenderness of memory.

The soundscape draws on Nesa Azadikhah’s layered compositions from the first chapter of this work, Ur Pupils R Nothing But Ur Pupils, in dialogue with Sega Bodega’s “X” from SS (2017). Its cinematic textures—an atmosphere oscillating between underground depth and electric tension—embody the work’s bitter and luminous duality.

This presentation offers a first sharing of the research for the upcoming piece.
