Originating from a wish to understand the cultural and aesthetic expressions which have emerged during what Franco Berardi describes as The Age of Impotence – a time of many crises and few solutions – the research Declan is undertaking during his two-week residency at Tanzhaus Zürich draws threads between Hardcore dance music, Postmodern Dance and America as a cultural ideology. Occupying the site of a metaphorical rehearsal, Good Things Come will play these threads, searching willfully for the future we have been promised, sometimes hopefully euphoric, sometimes succumbing to overwhelming desperation. Good Things Come will premiere in June 2023 and is made in close collaboration with Danny L. Harle, Klara Mand, Lea Moro, Elliot Reed, Catalina Schriber and Yann Slattery.
