Dovydas Strimaitis

Dovydas Strimaitis is a Lithuanian contemporary dance artist. After graduating from Codarts – Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Rotterdam in 2019, he worked with the collective La Horde at the National Ballet of Marseille for three years, before turning to the freelance scene. Since 2021, Strimaitis has authored multiple dance works in which he uses minimalist and formalist tools to create expressive experiences, including The Art of Making Dances, A Duet and Hairy. Strimaitis teaches both repertory and technique workshops, with the latter mostly including floor work as his preferred technique.
