Morgane Stephan

Residency guest 23/24

Morgane studied Art History at the Sorbonne and trained at the Rencontres Internationales de Danse Contemporaine RIDC in Paris from 2013 to 2016. She then joined Cie. Le Marchepied in Lausanne. In 2020, she based her own company in Lausanne and began developing solo formats in parallel to her work as a performer for contemporary dance and circus companies in Switzerland and France. Since 2023, she has been developing a new performative approach, combining contemporary dance and roller skating, while also exploring other disciplines that question the relation between gravity and the body (such as vertical dance). Morgane Stephan was part of the Festival Les Quart d'Heures in 2020, Les Chorégraphiques #8 in 2023 and began her research for the piece ovni within the framework of the Double Mentoring Dance programme of Migros Cultural Percentage, accompanied by the Swiss choreographer Rafaële Giovanola of Cie CocoonDance.
