Dash Che

Dash Che (they/them) is a genderqueer Russian American dancer, performer, teacher and conceptual artist currently based in Finland. They explore the questions of foreignness, desire to belong, ways of inclusion and exclusion through choreographing bodies and objects. They work with ready-mades and installations while also facilitating workshops. For over a year, Dash has been working with the notion of a patriotism and patriotic corporeality, staying curious how to queer and destabilize it through various artistic methods. Their work lingers at the border of eerie, subtle, humorous, aggressive, risky and abstract. Dash has a strong background in DIY organizing and LGBTQ activism.
