Wolfgang Gerke
Wolfgang Gerke, psychiatrist and psychotherapist in private practice, initially studied philosophy before turning to medicine. He earned his doctorate in the history of psychiatry and specialized in neurology at the University Hospital in Freiburg (Germany). In 2001, he moved to Zurich to work as a research associate at the University of Zurich. Beginning in 2011, he completed his specialization as a board-certified psychiatrist with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy and worked as a senior and chief physician with a specialization in psychotraumatology. His perspective on emotions is primarily clinical and therapeutic. Additionally, he is interested in the scientific foundations of experience and behavior.
