Helen Ree, born in Tallinn in 1982, has lived in Zurich since 2008. She has been working as a portrait and reportage photographer for over 15 years. In her independent projects, she focuses on topics such as dance, the body, and identity. She is a member of SIYU and Same Kollektivs. Exhibitions in Zurich, Berlin, and Tallinn showcase her documentary and artistic work. Helen Ree has been photographing for the Breakthrough Festival since its inception. Olivia Hernandez Candelas directs the Breakthrough Festival and initiated Shift with the conceptual ideation. Michael Bohl has also been supporting the Breakthrough Festival for several years with his knowledge of creative technology and is now more deeply involved artistically for the first time. He is responsible for the technical implementation of Shift.
