We want to be a place where as many people as possible feel welcome and can take part in what we offer. Barriers can take many different forms: spatial, linguistic, sensory, financial or social. They arise not only in buildings, but also in communication, information and processes. That is why we understand accessibility as a shared task that touches many areas of our work.

We are committed to removing barriers step by step. This applies to our building, our events, our communication and our digital content. We work together with staff, artists and specialists who advise us on accessibility and regularly review our website. We know that we do not yet meet everyone’s needs. For us, accessibility is not a fixed state but an ongoing process.

What we do

Our website is currently partially accessible. Many features and content can already be used without restriction. At the same time, some areas do not yet fully meet the requirements for digital accessibility.

On our website, we have implemented the following:

• All images have descriptive alt text
• Videos do not start automatically
• Links are clearly labelled
• Sufficient colour contrast
• The website can be operated using a keyboard
• Texts are written in simple, clear language
• Technical terms are explained in the Glossary
• Best possible usability with screen readers and other assistive technologies

Content that is not yet accessible

Some older PDF documents on our website may not yet fully comply with accessibility standards. We are working to replace or reformat these to make them accessible. If you need a specific document and cannot access it, please contact us — we will be happy to help.
