Metamorphose

The path of a girl in Tajikistan in Central Asia is mapped out from birth: marriage, children, family. But two young women chose to fight for a different life. They felt the urge for freedom and had had enough of society's tight corset in which women have nothing to say and experience violence within and outside the family. On their way to a self-determined life, the two met in Switzerland, far from their homeland. For the first time, these two oppressed souls felt really understood. The moving dance-theatre piece tells of the eternal shame and guilt that is imposed on women – and of their courage and solidarity.
